About the role
Aqvil is looking for a Technical Writer / Content Creator to help us build a platform around knowledge, publishing, and discovery.
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking something they understand and explaining it clearly to other people.
You don't need to be an expert in everything. We're much more interested in people who are genuinely curious, know how to research a subject, can communicate clearly, and enjoy creating useful content.
What you'll be doing
You'll help create content for Aqvil and contribute to the growth of the platform.
Depending on your strengths, this could include:
- Writing technical and educational articles
- Creating SEO-focused content
- Researching topics and turning them into useful articles
- Explaining technical concepts in a way that is easy to understand
- Creating comparisons, tutorials, guides, analyses, and opinion pieces
- Finding interesting topics that developers, professionals, businesses, and creators would actually want to read
- Helping improve how Aqvil content is structured and discovered
- Contributing ideas for growing Aqvil's publishing and discovery community
We're not looking for someone who simply fills a content calendar.
We want someone who can look at a subject and think:
“I know something useful about this, and I can explain it well.”

You don't need to have every skill listed above.
Strong writing, curiosity, independent thinking, and the ability to learn quickly matter more to us.
The application
Because writing is an important part of this role, we'd like to see how you actually write.
As part of the application, you'll publish one original 500–800 word article on Aqvil about a subject you're comfortable with.
You can choose the subject yourself. It could be something from your professional experience, a technology you know well, something you've researched, or a topic you simply enjoy writing about.
You can also choose the format that best fits your strengths:
Guide
Explain how to do something or approach a particular problem.
Tutorial
Walk the reader through a process step by step.
Analysis
Break down a subject, trend, technology, or problem and explain what you think the important points are.

Choose whichever format best represents what you're good at.
Your article doesn't need to be about Aqvil.
In fact, we'd prefer that you write about something you actually know.
What we'll look at
We're not looking for perfect marketing copy.
We'll be looking at things such as:
Clarity: Can you explain something without making it unnecessarily complicated?
Structure: Is the article easy to follow?
Originality: Does it contain your own perspective, experience, or thinking?
Research: When research is required, can you find and use useful information?
Usefulness: Does the reader actually learn something from it?
Writing quality: Is it well written and enjoyable to read?
